Yes, I realize that Monday was the official Memorial Day, but I still am a "tradition" guy, and May 30th has been embedded in my mind as the "real" Memorial Day.
It probably stems from my mother reminding me that she was requred to forfeit her favorite strawberry shortcake on a hot Michigan Memorial Day in 1948, as she prepared to give birth to yours truly on May 31rst!
So, as I celebrate the Beattles tune, "When I AM 64", I recall and will seek out some strawberry shortcake in memory to Mom!
I will also probably make time this weekend to wathch "Battle of the Bulge" to honor my day who served there in 1944.
As we all have made time this week to pay honor to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms, I want to thank
all of you, our COPD Community, for the grace, support, and opportunity to strive together in a good purpose and good
relationships as patients, caregivers, and providers, to enjoy our freedom and reach out to others, with COPD and other
chronic life-threatening conditions for one voice for advocacy and education for one another!
From Southwest Florida, Happy Memorial Days!

Thank you, Bob, for sharing a bit of your "beginnings" with us. And thanks for reminding us of the good stuff happening in the COPD Community.
