Our 11 year old grandson Logan will be undergoing his third surgery in 18 months for a condition called cholesteatoma which is a cyst that grows in the inner ear. Left alone they can become dangerous. Unfortunately a high percentage of them come back after being removed at least once. This is the second time his has returned. The surgery is invasive and painful so we all wish he could be done with them but it is what it is. It has already cost him most of his hearing in that ear and some reconstructive surgery is possible that can improve hearing but the cyst has to be gone with no evidence of return before that can be done. We were hopeful it would be gone at this time but it has come back so we will do what has to be done.
Prayers are appreciated.
Thanks,
Ken
Grandson

There are really only two requirements when it comes to exercise.
One is that you do it. The other is that you continue to do it.

Ken, hope all goes well with this surgery. It is so difficult to watch our little ones in pain of any kind. He is in my prayers also.

I'm sorry about Logan's ear problems, Ken. Three surgeries in eighteen months is an awful lot, especially for a child. I will pray that this will be a successful surgery, and the last one he must endure. Hugs for you all.

Ken, so happy to hear the surgery went well for Logan. Wishing him a speedy recovery.
Won't take him off the prayer list yet, either. Now you can relax. It's so tough when our
loved ones have to go through something like that, especially the young ones.
Hugs,
Peg

That's great news, Ken. I hope he continues to remain free of any future cysts.

Good news Ken. Isn't it amazing the way these kids roll with the punches and bounce right back.
