Karen Erickson of Thousand Oaks lifts weights in her garage. Erickson was given two years to live 11 years ago. Now she is waiting for a double lung transplant and trying to get people to understand a disease called alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, which has reduced her lungs to less than 20 percent of capacity.
