Sorry to post this here amidst so much good news, but I didn't know where else to go with it.
Nick's son went to be with His Lord and Savior in the early hours of this morning. It is a rough time for all of the family
and the multitude of people whose lives have been touched by this wonderful kind and loving man. Words cannot express
what is felt for him, but he is at peace now and he was content in the knowledge of where he was going. He was 53.

I'm so very sorry for your loss, Peg. I'm sure this is devastating to your family, and I know you will miss him every day. Nothing I can say will take away the hurt your are feeling, but may it comfort you to know that I am thinking of you and your family and sending healing prayers your way.

There are really only two requirements when it comes to exercise.
One is that you do it. The other is that you continue to do it.

  • Interests:Spending time with 7 yr old GRANDSON and 6 older step-grandchildren [between 18 and 25], reading, sewing, sudoku, playing card games with husband and friends, entertaining friends, learning to do more on the computer, learning to work with digital pictures on the computer. Always finding some new project to get interested in and overload myself with.

Well, it is the morning after the Memorial and Graveside services and the real beginning of life without Ken. Nick almost dialed Ken's number this morning, but caught himself. The days will pass and time will make is easier to bear, we know, but the Real is finally becoming real.

Most of the week Nick has had an infection in his surgery wound, with a lot of pain, so has been on strong pain meds. We have been back to the Dr twice this week! I believe it has helped him get through, but now that is easing up and his reality is truly setting in.

We appreciate the caring comments and prayers from everyone and they do help. Also, we had awesome weather throughout - lots and lots of beautiful sunshine and warm temperatures - I love it anytime I don't have to wear a coat! Sunshine always helps put a smile in your heart!

Now we move on.

I am so sorry for your loss. I hadn't been on since I was out of town again. My prayers and thoughts are with you and Nick. You take care of him, he sounds like a wonderful man!
