Good Afteroon!

This morning I had the pleasure of meeting with 2 COPD Patient friends who are making a difference

in the lives of others with COPD in both of their communities!

My friend Karen, is from another part of our state, and in addition to helping with COPD, Asthma, and Breast Cancer in

her Central Florida community, she is working with our state COPD Coalition helping share and inform others with COPD in

at a state -regional RT-COPD Community Workshop/Seminar in South Florida in 2 weeks. I am learning much from Karen

about computers and power point, as we are partnering together to share with COPD Patients and RTs. Karen's encouragement

and instruction skills are greatly appreciated!

My other friend Len, is a SW Florida COPD Patient friend who is graciously reaching out and partnering with starting a new faith-

based, COPD Support Group, "Second Wind",\through his church, which is very supportive for community health outreach.

The nearby hospital lacks meeting room space, and wants to partner with the effort.

I just wanted to say thanks to Karen and Len, and encourage others to partner with your RTs in your community! I am truly grateful

for the blessing of the relationships as well as the purpose of improving the lung health in our community!
