Closing out August with 20 days of exercise for 31 hours and 16,700 calories burned. That's pretty good month for me as it included 3 weeks on antibiotics and an up and down prednisone taper which is still continuing (at 7mg now). The best part is that I feel better for all the hard work. Almost every day that I exercised I ended up saying "I'm glad I did that, I feel better now".

My goal for September is to enjoy some football, attend my grandsons soccer, hockey, and cross country competitions. With that diverse a list of activities I bet I'll end up running "Pop's Taxi Service" now and then. This weekend is a soccer tournament Sat & Sun then a birthday dinner Monday. What does one request for his 69th birthday dinner you may ask, its a pot roast with carrots/onions/potatoes and yorkshire pudding smothered in gravy. So far so good everybody loves pot roast but for desert I'm requesting carrot cake which the kids unfortunately have seen made and can't imagine that it could possibly be any good. That's okay, just more for us adults. My wife make the best carrot cake from scratch I'll get up early tomorrow and go to the stores as necessary to find whatever she puts on the shopping listbut I'll have squeeze it in between soccer tourney games.

I'm blessed to have all this going on and to be healthy enough to participate in it. I hope your weekend whatever it may involve will be as interesting and active as mine. Have a wonderrful weekend.

Darrell, a very happy birthday to you on Monday! Pot roast sounds great for birthday dinner.....enjoy every last bite. Great totals for August also and thanks for saying again "I'm glad I did that, I feel better now" It bears repeating for us all on a regular basis.

To everybody else.....a healthy and happy holiday weekend with lots of family, friends and food.

Looks like I get to bake a cake tonight. Happy Birthday Darrell. Did you manage to get in everything
you had planed for the weekend.

Hi Clarie, how are you today? If you've gotten as much rain as we did this weekend, I bet your Garden
will keep you busy next week.

Ken, I hope your doing OK today, Great report for Aug, I'm sure, even with your upcoming vacation, you'll still
find ways to exercise and stay active.

We've had more rain this weekend then we've had all year but I did manage to get out to the garden
center to shop for some Mums and a new pot for MDMIL's Birthday. She will be 84 in a couple of weeks.
We were going to sneak over there and swap out her old planter with the new pot of mums while she
was at church last night but the weather was too bad for her to go out. I guess we'll have to find another
time to drop it off. I'm feeling better everyday or at least I feel like I have more energy. Still working on the
Pred Taper, I'm due to drop to 16mg's Tue morning. I guess we'll see how that goes.

Darrell, I was also advised to get a med alert bracelet. Any suggestions about that?

We have no plans for Labor day. The kids are all sick with colds so we can't be around each other right now.
Dew decided to work, the overtime always helps so I guess I'm on my own. It sounds like a good uninterrupted
workout is in order.

Take care,

Tim
